The Akaso V50X can shoot video in different resolutions, 4K, 2.7K, 2K, 1080p and 720p. It can protect the camera up to 131 feet or 40 meters of underwater depth. This housing is great for scuba divers or anyone who likes to shoot underwater videos and still shots. The camera itself is not waterproof but it comes with a waterproof housing included in the box for free. This external mic can’t be used with the waterproof housing. The Akaso V50X has two ports, a micro USB for charging and for transferring data to a computer. On the left side of the camera, you can see the ports and the micro SD card slot. The V50X is truly capable of native 4K resolution at 30fps and still shots at 12 megapixels. The image sensor is a Sony IMX458 with a size of 1/3.06 inches capable of a maximum of 13 megapixels, it supports 4K at 30 frames per second as per the product information sheet. There are four options you can choose from: 170, 140, 110 and 70 degrees. The angle is adjustable in the camera settings. The Akaso V50X lens is a 170-degree super wide lens. The Akaso V50X touchscreen works really well, you can swipe up and down to go through the different menus then tap with your finger to select the resolution or setting you like. Will Akaso deliver good quality 4K on the V50X? This type of compression is low quality and shoots the bitrate into the roof and that can sometimes result in corrupted video files.
